Four Star Beauty Supply was founded in 1984 when the Dooley’s acquired the Wisconsin Nexxus distributor then owned by the Shaeffers.

Dennis Dooley passed away in 1991, when his wife Sharon took over the day-to-day operations. Sharon retired in 2002, selling the business to Ed Stein. At the time Four Star was a Nexxus and ABBA distributor with limited sundries .

Ed’s goal in acquiring Four Star was to make it the distributor of choice for professional salon products, equipment and business services. The tag line “Providing Creative Salon Solutions” is our guiding principle.

Today, we represent products from the top manufacturers in our industry. We distribute products throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Upper Michigan. We have aligned ourselves with these manufacturers because of their beliefs, values and commitment to the professionalism of our industry. Products are an important part of success in today’s industry; however, we believe that the relationship between the Business Development Manager, Salon, Distributor and Manufacturer are equally important.
