Purpose of the Position:

You will work alongside Senior Valuation professionals and be tasked with supporting the valuation process. You must apply organizational and analytical skills to assist appraisers in completing assignments. Typical duties include making phone calls and conducting internet searches to collect and organize market and property information. This position is also responsible for implementing the findings into a database and appraisal reports.

This position will work directly with appraisers from a home office in Salem, and after appropriate experience, the applicant can also work remotely. As such, reliable transportation to the city of Salem is required.

Job Functions:

  • Assisting appraisers with a wide range of data collection needs, including making phone calls to collect market information and verify property data
  • Assisting appraisers with report generation
  • Other assistant duties, as needed by the appraisers

Required Skills:

  • Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Temas, and Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail
