Located on the Main Campus in the heart of Salem our team is comprised of 13 providers and 23 support staff. In the role as an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner at Salem Health you demonstrate your commitment to providing the best care to all patients at all time. You are committed to evidence-based diagnosis and treatment and you partner with medical and business colleagues to ensure careful diagnosis is combined with what is best for the patient and their family. You may be a qualified PA candidate if you:Have graduated from a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, e.g., CAHEA, CAAHEP.Have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE) and are certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Current PA license in good standing issued by the Oregon Medical Board (OMB).Hold DEA certification.Maintenance of American Heart Association BLS certification.You may be a qualified NP candidate if you:Possess a Master's Degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing.Have satisfactorily completed a Nurse Practitioner Program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.Hold valid, unencumbered NP national certification issued by a nationally accrediting body.Hold DEA certification.Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or National Certification Corporation (NCC), or an equivalent Medicare/Medicaid approved certifying body, or be actively seeking certification and obtain the same in the specialty area requested within 24 months of privileges being granted at Salem Hospital.Must be able to demonstrate experience in the specialty area in the past 24 months.
