Job Overview

The Mgr, Quality role works with thePilot organization within the LAM Product Development and Release process. This is a high change NPI environment where Pilot builds early-stage product while developing and verifying manufacturing and test collateral in collaboration with the product groups.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manages a team of Quality Engineers across Pilot N. America sites
  • Defines KPIs and targets for Pilot Quality aligned with factory and GQ KPIs
  • Identifies deficiencies and areas for development in the Quality Management System for a New Product Introduction (NPI) organization (Pilot) and develops plans to address
  • Designs methods and procedures for inspecting and verifying the effective execution of documented assembly and test procedures on pre-production released product
  • Performs analysis of factory quality data to drive improvement in accuracy and completeness of assembly and test procedures and operational excellence in execution
  • Mines field installation data to identify trends and implements updates or changes to factory quality defect detection processes to reduce/eliminate escapes
  • Responsible for monitoring quality of Investigation & RCCA (Root Cause/Corrective Action) conducted by QEs and stakeholders (Product Groups and Supply Chain) ensuring high probability that issues will not recur in Pilot.
  • Coaches Quality Engineers preparing for PDR stage gate review of quality deliverables and impact assessment
  • Leads response to factory escalations requiring cross functional coordination and subject matter expert consultation
  • Supports all Global Quality and GOPS quality projects and Management System Assessments (Audits)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4-6 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing NPI environment
  • Domestic Travel - 20%
  • On-site Flex Schedule
