What You'll Be Doing as a Sr. Business Analyst:
In this role you'll participate in the development of the Company's manufacturing systems including the selection, implementation and integration of systems and technology initiatives necessary to achieve strategic and organizational goals around manufacturing digital transaction and operational efficiency. You'll analyze data, requirements, and processes to align business needs with system requirements. You'll collaborate with cross-functional and cross-organization teams to provide pragmatic business and technology solutions. You will:
  • Participate in software selection, implementation and integration of key manufacturing systems such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Electronic Work Instructions (EWI).
  • Provide key operational business knowledge for discrete manufacturing operations subject areas such as:
    • Assembly Operations
    • Material Handling
    • Master Data Management for Manufacturing (Item, BOM & Router Maintenance)
    • Manufacturing Planning
    • Shipping & Distribution Operations
    • Multi level Bills of Materials, Routers and operations in a high mix high complexity discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Work on and lead various project deliverables:
    • Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations
    • Understand and negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders
    • Develop rapid prototype or proof of concept (POC) solutions to validate potential solutions in an iterative model
    • Define business requirements based on translation of business needs and gaps
    • Create deliverables such as business process flows, what's changing, business requirements, test plans, test scripts, cutover plans, and key learnings
    • Perform knowledge transfer to stakeholders and supports stakeholders as they develop work instructions or standard operating procedures
    • Identify and implement support models
  • Create the functional design in collaboration with cross functional teams to support software implementation:
    • Highlight process changes and provide input on potential impact to the organization and/or roles and develops training and change management deliverables
  • Manage small to medium size projects:
    • Execute and enforce standards and methodologies around business process development, project management and change management
    • Deliver project scope
    • Demonstrate familiarity with project management fundamentals such as Agile and Waterfall
    • Participate & lead project activities such as sprints, scrum, & requirements gathering
Skills & Experience You'll Need as a Sr. Business Analyst:
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS is preferred or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years' experience as a business systems analyst in a manufacturing environment
  • Broad knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes and applications such as ERP, MES, PLM & Planning
  • Working technical knowledge of SQL for queries, reporting & analysis
  • Knowledge of and experience in Oracle E-Business Suite, Logility Voyager and Logility Manufacturing Planning in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience as a project participant or leading project management activities with good understanding of project management methodology
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks with varying timelines and priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions to achieve outcomes that support business objectives
Work Environment for a Sr. Business Analyst:
Normal office environment with exposure to manufacturing operations.
