Mental Health Associate

Currently hiring full-time & per diem (day, nights & variable shift) positions.

The Associate-Mental Health (MHA) provides patient care under the direct supervision of the RN, with indirect supervision of mental health skills by an employed Mental Health Professional. Provides hospital level and focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illness. Under the direction of an RN, observes and reports on patient conditions, changes, and collaborates with treatment team in developing treatment plans. Is sensitive to needs of these patients and alerts care team leaders of a change in status of the patients on the inpatient psychiatric unit.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Studies include, but, are not limited to: Psychology, Social Sciences, Social Work, or related to a behavioral health field. Also included are major studies in the medical field, including, but not limited to: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Equivalent experience of 3-years in a mix of Residential Inpatient, Psych Outpatient, or any Acute Settings (does not need to be behavioral health)
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 3 years Either Bachelors Degree of 3-years of mixed experience (see above)
