Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst delivers statistical and analytical support to key stakeholders (including leadership) by creating enterprise and ad-hoc reports. They also provide consultative services such as expert advice on the interpretation/usage of data and visualizations. This role will also partner closely with stakeholders to manage enterprise projects and programs.

Job Duties
  • Build deep relationships with business units and stakeholders to define scope, level of effort, deliverables, project plans, future roadmaps and help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver project(s)
  • Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize BI projects and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality work
  • Act as a subject matter expert in multiple areas; building, advising, and enabling enterprise reports, dashboards, visualizations, resulting in complex solutions for cross-functional initiatives
  • Define metrics to drive the business forward and turn data into valuable insights by leveraging creative solutions, and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders
  • Lead the process of verifying accuracy and completeness of data models, data relationships, mappings, and definitions for the business unit
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing business analyses, interpretations of data, and definitions of Metrics/KPIs
  • Assist with the design and development of a business data layer and semantic layer to support the business community in using EDW data
  • Drive adoption and utilization of Enterprise reporting and analyses through technical training and data literacy
  • Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Mentor fellow Analysts within the Data & Analytics Community
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a BI/Data Analyst
  • Advanced knowledge of data engineering and data preparation for analytical use in both ad hoc and data visualization projects (Using tools such as Snowflake, SQL Server, and Tableau Prep)
  • Expert Tableau skills and Tableau Certified Professional Preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, across all levels of the organization including translation of technical terms for non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to consult with stakeholders to identify use cases, plan and execute projects end to end and consult with stakeholders on observations and recommendations, based on the outcomes of the business intelligence project
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups through partnership
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with data preparation tools (such as Alteryx, Datawatch, etc.)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality Management (DQM)
  • Expert level knowledge of star schemas (facts and dimensions)
  • Expert knowledge of an analytical programming language (such as SQL, Python, R)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certification/License: Tableau Certified Professional preferred

Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR:$113k - $123k annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation inRocklin, CA 95765:$124k - $138k annually + annual bonus
Target Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134: $140k - $152k annually + annual bonus
