This position requires an experienced business leader, a visionary, to lead the programs and support the company's rapidly growing business environment. Individual will be responsible for leading development and execution of standardized operations, quality systems and processes for Division.

Expectations are to define and lead the implementation and sustaining effort to integrate quality into processes and products to assure customer/regulatory requirements are achieved while also achieving business objectives. A strong leader and an effective communicator who can facilitate and drive innovation in a fast-paced business environment, while adhering to the culture and values which define the company.

Responsibilities:

Position will be responsible for building and leading a worldwide organization focused on Operations Excellence providing leadership and strategic direction to the quality function and ensuring proper interface and integration of quality to all aspects of business. This will be accomplished by substantially strengthening and standardizing quality, engineering, operations systems and processes and aligning with appropriate infrastructure and resources to achieve business objectives in a unified Business and Quality Management System. This will include but not be limited to a standard policy, procedures, system, and compliance programs with metrics and audit program to drive business improvement and assure compliance.

Provide leadership and strategic direction to quality and continuous improvement functions and ensuring proper interface and integration to all aspects of business. This will be accomplished by:

  • Aligning internal processes and metrics to create highest product quality for competitive advantage.
  • Partner with General Managers and all functional leaders to integrate quality into processes and systems with focus on continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing efficiencies and achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and lead efforts to standardize problem solving and lean manufacturing initiatives with training/competency programs, standard metrics and driving a lean six sigma culture.
  • Lead efforts to standardize and leverage Zero Defects programs utilizing industry and PCC standards across the business.
  • Encourage and drive leveraging of best practices across the business.
  • Actively creating a path for development and mentoring future leaders of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or technical discipline. An advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of senior level diverse leadership experience. This shall include but not limited to experience in Operations Excellence with specific knowledge and experience in all Quality functions, lean manufacturing, and skilled in six sigma methodology.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills coupled with extraordinary people management skills.
  • Problem Solving and continuous improvement mindset focused on process improvement and waste elimination. Six Sigma black belt certification, ASQ and or lean manufacturing training and or certification desired.
  • Results oriented individual with experience at the Senior Management level of a comparable size (Sales $1B, multiple sites, and operations) organization leading cross functional improvement programs across the business.
  • Demonstrated skills in NDT, Dimensioning, Physical Testing, and Statistical Quality Control required. Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in aerospace quality management systems and standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001) required.
  • Thorough understanding of aerospace and government specifications, systems, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Investment Casting process required.
