Digital Growth Manager

The Digital Growth Manager will help to shape the next phase of growth of the digital experience at Benchmade. You will provide a best-in-class onsite shopping experience by optimizing and innovating our presentation of products and campaigns. You understand digital strategies, SEO optimization, and how to use a suite of tools to maximize visibility, performance, and user experience of the full digital customer journey.

Reporting to the Director of eCommerce and Customer Experience, you will own the digital merchandising strategy and execution for Benchmade inclusive of onsite and email/ SMS merchandising, striving to beat KPIs while providing a flawless and engaging user journey.

You will report to senior leaders on the effectiveness and business impact of campaigns executed through the tracking of the customer journey. You will innovate and test new approaches across multiple channels, manage internal stakeholder and team expectations throughout delivery, and manage risk and issue escalations related to the campaigns.

Responsibilities
    Own, design and execute the Digital Merchandising strategy and calendar
  • Provide a best-in-class onsite shopping experience by optimizing and innovating the way we present our products and campaigns
  • Champion all enhancements on the Benchmade.com experience, striving to beat business targets and KPIs while providing a flawless and engaging user experience
  • Manage email and SMS strategy inclusive of flows and campaigns to provide best-in-class DTC customer experience, increasing conversion and driving incremental revenue
  • Maintain local product catalogue(s) and hierarchy, ensuring optimal merchandising strategy and maximizing product sell-through
  • Manage set up of all new product listings
  • Improve results for onsite search using SearchSpring and manage test and learn agenda to optimize product sequencing strategies
  • Ownership over the customer journey tools, leveraging AI and automation to drive customer journey adoption
  • Bring to life local activations, stories, and brand moments through tactical placement onsite
  • Collaborate with the Digital Production team to build a bespoke suite of enticing assets and rich copy sets
  • Optimize SEO by constantly auditing the site to determine areas of opportunity to drive higher search ranking while enabling a flawless web and mobile-web experience, inclusive of blog content
  • Collaborate with the brand, GTM, and technical product teams on comms calendar to ensure deployment of localized content, service-related messaging, and optimization of product recommendations
  • Optimizes campaigns to increase conversion rates and reduce acquisition cost
  • Partner with Director of eComm & CE on paid media campaign strategy & execution
  • Leveraging insights on campaign performance, consumer preference and market trends, design a choreographed journey of personalized (segment) marketing treatments informed by prior treatments and response
  • Prepare performance reporting, tracking to KPIs, using analytics tools such a Google Analytics, Shopify and more
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to adapt and innovate strategies
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 3-4 years experience in an Ecommerce Merchandising / Website management role, ideally set within a fast-growth DTC Ecommerce landscape
  • Strong preference for experience with Shopify & Klaviyo. Experience with Search Spring, Yotpo, and Narvar are a plus
  • An innate understanding of digital customer behavior, product lifecycle, market/seasonal trends, and how the onsite experience can impact the funnel conversion rate
  • Customer-centric mindset who enjoys coming up with creative solutions
  • Analytical and data-driven, can use tools and digest data to identify risk factors and potentialize opportunities and make decisions
  • Understanding of SEO principles and the ability to optimize digital content for search engines
  • Excellent at building internal cross-functional relationships and partnerships with external vendors
  • A growth mindset! Flexibility to adapt to the changing landscape of digital retail and e-commerce trends
