Job Description

*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Beaverton, OR. In-office expectation is 3 days a week*.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Sales Ops Planning Analyst is a strategic, consultative, and critical member of SOREL sales organization. In this role, the Incumbent will provide expert strategic consultation, business planning, strong analysis, and superior communication to cross-functional team leaders from customers, sales, planning and other functional groups. By nurturing engagement between internal/external stakeholders, this role influences strategic decisions that drive sustainable, profitable growth and market share gains. The Incumbent must be extremely driven and excel in areas of sales strategy, problem solving, process management, reporting tool optimization, executive communication, and have emotional intelligence to build consensus and people development.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Offer creative solutions for opportunities and problem solving by delivering best-in-class strategies through analytics with unbiased, fact-based research that promotes positive outcomes while mitigating risks.

  • Work with Key Account Sales Managers on current and future season forecasting. Identify opportunities and liabilities on product based on history and market trends to maximize production runs and internal gross margins.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, thought partner and owner of various reports and analysis to translate business opportunities into digestible and insightful deliverables made easy for internal/external stakeholders to understand and action upon. This may require learning, developing and training a new reporting tool from the ground-up to help identify and distill the information.

  • Develop and present strategies, in partnership with sales leadership, that protect/expand existing initiatives and investments as well as identifying new business opportunities that drive operational excellence.

  • Prepare and manage seasonal forecasts, inclusive of ladder plans, min/max presentation levels, and faux replenishment processes (where applicable). Provide insight to floor sets and end dates, reorders and markdown cadences.

  • Lead engagement and collaboration between sales management, Key Account sales reps and other internal members to establish and execute upon team objectives and initiatives

  • Review all financial plans, inclusive of semi-annual COGS analysis, to align on KPI expectations (i.e. sales, turns and margin) to ensure proper inventory to enhance internal/external ROI's. Seasonal Forecasting

  • Compile market analysis and consumer behavior to lead presentations to internal/external stakeholders that reflect where SOREL and its competition are positioned in the industry, who is winning, why, and how can it be optimized.

  • Provide coaching to team members by leveraging knowledge, consulting skills, experience and analytical capabilities to help connect the dots to identify opportunities and issues. Cultivate a culture of inclusion and promote a growth mentality among teams and collaborators.

YOU ARE

  • Experienced in a role blends a mix of autonomy with regular collaboration with cross-functional company teammates in Marketing, Merchandising, Analytics, Operations, and Planning.

  • Experienced in fast-paced environments and an ability to estimate, balance, and adhere to complex and changing timelines.

  • Passionate about Footwear and fashion!

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years' experience of sales analysis experience in wholesale and retail industry, footwear is a plus!

  • Exceptional business problem-solving aptitude and the ability to find unique solutions to problems and mitigate risks.

  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point) with preferred experience in Power BI and MicroStrategy reporting applications.

  • Strong analytical evaluation skills, business acumen, and ability to structure and analyze different data sets and turn into insights that tell a story of key business trends and outliers.

  • Creativity, intellectual curiosity, and agility to navigate ambiguous circumstances.

  • Executive presence with strong verbal and written communication; possesses strong and energetic presentation skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to present, articulate, and defend analyses to management.

  • Excellent situational awareness, proven ability to influence, drive accountability and build consensus will all team members and customers to ensure operational excellence

  • Consulting, coaching, and training skills to educate the team members and customers they collaborate with
