As part of the Reliability team, the Lubrication Analyst will report directly to the Sr Supervisor, Reliability. The successful candidate must be committed to working in a highly safety-conscious team environment, and will be expected to identify and mitigate hazards, possess the judgment, and utilize the tools provided to always conduct work in a safe manner.

What you will do:

  • Actively engage in personal and co-worker health and safety to ensure we all go home safe, every day.
  • Troubleshoots actual or potential operational and/or maintenance problems and takes appropriate action to see that they are addressed.
  • Daily equipment audits of all critical lubrication equipment.
  • Monthly varnish potential sampling.
  • Monthly oil sampling.
  • Maintaining a lubrication threats list and ensuring work requests are written and executed to ensure the health of rotating equipment.
  • Ultrasonic lubrication on electric motors and maintaining database.
  • Working with projects to ensure new equipment are within Nutrien and API standards.
  • Planning for turnarounds to ensure critical work/PM's get completed.
  • Maintaining out stock of oil and spec of oil that's needed on-site as well as cleanliness of storage and handling.
  • Yearly continuous education within the trade.
  • Implementation of new technologies.
  • Managing EOL equipment.
  • Engage in minor equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure housekeeping is done to standard.

What you bring to the position:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred 5 years in rotating equipment reliability.
  • Preferred MLT II certification preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply Nutrien and API standards to lubrication equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply results from oil samples, varnish samples, and ultrasonic lubrication.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  • Ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Troubleshooting and analytical ability.
  • Ability to properly fill out a Safe Work Permit, and identify hazards in the area.
