Sales and Events Tech Representative - Northeast Region (VT, NH, ME, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, DC, WV)

Benchmade is looking for a Sales and Event Tech Rep that will support sales and marketing efforts within the NE territory. The expectation is the Tech Rep will create meaningful relationships with our retail partners to drive sell through and adoption of Benchmade's ambitious go to market strategy. Successful tech reps are those that manage time well, communicate with their territory Manager and retailers to gain market share and meet revenue goals for the territory. The best Tech Reps are those that maximize the tools given and execute best in class service at point of sale through education, merchandising and follow-through. Responsibilities
    Meet quarterly sales targets and territory goals
  • Service accounts through educating, order solicitation, event support and general administration to ensure Benchmade is "easy to do business with"
  • Work with Territory Manager to prioritize travel and account visits to rationalize time, activities and effort in each retail location.
  • Utilize CRM reporting to understand account order frequency, inventory levels and count and fill needs to accelerate orders and sell through.
  • Develop account assortments based on strategic direction to drive retailers to attain higher classifications on the dealer locator.
  • Travel to sales meetings, tradeshows and key weekend events as deemed necessary by your Territory Manager and on an ad hoc basis.
  • Utilize marketing resources to maximize Benchmade brand experience at retail.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls and provide feedback on competitors, retail happenings and important market factors affecting Benchmade sales in the territory.
  • Drive Sell through across ALL retail channels.
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
  • Minimum of 1+ years' experience in account management, field sales or retail sales
  • Bachelor's degree or similar B2B regional/national sales, account management and marketing experience
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • CRM experience is preferred
  • Proven track record in meeting sales targets
  • MS Office Proficiency
  • Detailed oriented with a high level of organization
  • Current Drivers license

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Lift and carry heavy equipment weighing 75+ pounds regularly.
  • Conduct field visits to vendors, requiring extensive walking and standing.
  • Maintain physical stamina for dynamic and fast-paced work environments.
  • Adaptability to various indoor and outdoor settings, temperature changes, and noise levels.
  • Prioritize safety, following proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
